Same here.

Almost nothing for long-term experienced Angard staff unless you are one of those if Acting Managers’ clients, many of whom seem to be inn at 15:00/16:00 daily.

So many Christmas Casuals in

Similar at ydc. Other agencies in, seemingly ahead of angard, presumably they are agreed before hand. One shift a week sounds about par.

So not only are we getting one four hour shift a week if we are lucky, thanks to Xmas casuals, the CWU want us gone:

From the CWU doc just posted on the pay talks page:
Royal Mail must commit to prioritising the removal of all Agency staff before Voluntary Redundancies take place and confirm that they will not hire new entrants, including on lower terms and conditions, across the business to replace existing employees who choose to take Voluntary Redundancy. We believe this practice may be illegal.

ST wanted rid of agency workers first, along with overtime - so in all honesty the union is trying to protect its members - and if job losses are coming then temp workers (agency) should be first inline, before any RM staff.

We aren’t getting any shifts so there’s not much job to lose. Seemed like a good way to help pay the bills initially but whole company seems like a slow motion car crash.
Management seem adept at annoying pretty much everyone all the time. Never known an organisation like it.

Based upon my experiences working at 2 mail centres, RM may not get the work done and hit their targets, without the reliance on angard workers. ( majority who are hard working and want regular shifts).
A lot of RM staff don't like working on heavy and large, or opening bags and tipping them.
Also, they can't put sleeves on yorks, because they claim to have bad backs/ shoulders.

RM’s relationship with Angard is incestuous.

RM own Angard 100%

Without Angard RM woukd be in even more trouble than they are currently.

It suits RM to have a pool of casual, zero- hours staff at ‘arms-length’.

And now RM have made all Angard workers seriously looking to leave because £50 a week isn’t worth hanging around for. Absolute joke of a company.
And don’t stress. We aren’t crossing picket lines. Not even been offered shifts tomorrow. So either volumes have gone rock bottom or they’re expecting the inept Xmas casuals to do it all…

Mount Pleasant mc are booking angard casuals for this saturday

There are a lot of missorts at the moment, partly due to parcel sorting machine unable to sort the chinese tiny packets, plus xmas casuals struggling to sort correctly ( understandable as they are new)
