Scrap the Xmas bonus all together and replace it with a yearly bonus, reducing the bonus amount with any sick leave taken. Reward the workers for a change.

It would never happen, it's a statement from ignorance and that's not name-calling.

The ignorance is that to withhold a bonus based on sick leave is against the law the Equality Act specifically.

Even more reason to strike in my opinion. This is getting personal now. If the bonus is only partial paid and/or stamps are removed then RM are giving a middle finger to the extra work we have to ensue over the Xmas period.

We know as a collective the next 6 weeks will be mayhem, I for one will not extend or do O/T to help them out of this hole they are creating. Agency staff have been useless in our office so far, bringing back so much it is a joke. I know the bonus is negligible after tax and NI but this is one thing we could always expect as extra income over the Xmas period as a thank you from RM for that extra effort. If they are that petty than we should be as well.

Not defending RM by any means but 50 x 1st class at 0.95 for 120,000 staff is 5.7 mill.

The way Si harps on, 5.7 million isn't negligible, it's something he could claw back for the benefit of shareholders........

Don’t forget RM saved circa £9M per day on wages for each day we were on strike and then we delivered the mail for free the following day/days.

RM don’t lose 5.7milly by sending us stamps though do they. It’s not like they’re stamps to send stuff via Evri.

It’s just swallowing up slightly more work. 50x120000 over a year is a negligible amount of work to deliver over the course of a year, over the whole country, no?

Really don't give a s**t anyways. Like seriously, the bonus was f**k all in the grand scheme of things. Especially considering the amount we were delivering last year. Instead of rewarding us with our hard work the last two years, they want more from us for petty changes. To our knowledge, the union has not once even asked for anything in turn bar trying to keep our conditions alive. So if they want to not pay the bonus? Fine, they can jog on and I'll be working my time like I have been doing these few months.
