The membership of a union of countries which triggered the EU postal Directove and the privatisation of Royal Mail became Brexit because the financial institutions didnt want non membership to mean an alternative to the neo liberal policies put in place and facilitated in the EU by Blair & Kinnock and a whole of host of Tories those socialists who like to beleive otherwise have to explain exactly what the " Free Movement of Capital " in the EU means and why for instance their gold standard customs union claptrap resulted in half of young Latvians having to leave for work.

Re: Inflation and GDP is lower than before pandemic
Well I agree but people on here don't but the fact remains that gdp is lower than before the pandemic this is a fact GDP is a factor of investment and a return in the market confidence. But one cannot make a nation rally behind you if you keep stomping on them all with every change in leadership of our nation sometimes a lettuce could be a better leader!Bob Cooney wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 18:33The membership of a union of countries which triggered the EU postal Directove and the privatisation of Royal Mail became Brexit because the financial institutions didnt want non membership to mean an alternative to the neo liberal policies put in place and facilitated in the EU by Blair & Kinnock and a whole of host of Tories those socialists who like to beleive otherwise have to explain exactly what the " Free Movement of Capital " in the EU means and why for instance their gold standard customs union claptrap resulted in half of young Latvians having to leave for work.

It isn’t opinion, it is fact. Immigrants pay into the economy, via spending on goods and taxation. Immigrants who are being held in hotels are a drop in the ocean compared to how much this country is contributing to native unemployed and the elderly. If you gave those in hotels the opportunity to work here, they would.milly wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 17:25How much GDP are those immigrants that have been put up in Hotels contributing?LouBarlow wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 16:50You are so uneducated it is painful. Immigrants to this country are less of a drain on the economy than the people born and raised here. They put in more than they take out, funding the welfare state, unlike the natives.milly wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 15:44I have provided answers why we are in this mess.LouBarlow wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 14:42You keep banging on about this but never answer why the rest of the world isn’t suffering as we are.milly wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 13:09The creation of Trillions of currency units by the UK/US and EU is to blame for inflation and sanctioning the World's 2nd largest energy supplier.k979aaa wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 12:57It has created inflationary pressures because of the lack of workers border checks and lack of investment all this is why inflation is at 11%. All because some sad people in June 2016 most whom are probably dead now voted for change!
What a master stroke of conservatism that was and could not foresee events most people now know the Russians were payrolling BREXIT because it broke the EU up and weakened it but it also weakened the UK at the sametime.
This whole Crisis was stoked by the very people who espoused BREXIT in all it's forms they created the conditions that we are suffering now yet expect the working man to pay the price.
The whole costs of which we should absorb the impact of inflation by the cost of living crisis that they made happen only One government has presided over us all this time and this directly is the cause of the strikes.
And thus pay talks 2022 take the bilikers of your eyes and you will see go to the high street it is dead like the economy is!
It's pretty delusional to think that Brexit caused all of this inflation.
Humanity cannot function without energy.
Why don't you tell me why printing Billions of Pounds , importing economically inactive immigrants and sanctions haven't caused inflation but yet Brexit has.
To paraphrase Milton Friedman "You can have open borders or a welfare state, you can't have both".
And yes making trading with the biggest bloc in the world, who happens to be your closest neighbour, more difficult, is a bad thing. Consider yourself more informed.
Why do you prefer immigrants to UK Citizen's, you seem to have a low opinion of the British people who you seem to believe live off Welfare provided by immigrants.

Good luck getting a decent payrise if you want to swamp the Labour Market with immigrants.
Are you familiar with the mechanisms of supply and demand?

Is it because we had a lier as PM a Free marketeer as PM or a Billionaire as PM or a lettuce as PM.
Cannot blame the pandemic as every other nation had it
Cannot blame the war as the people who voted for BREXIT had weakened the EU and thus gave RUSSIA a free hand in the Ukraine bit like Donald Trump did with his NATO speech!
Why are this government expecting us all to foot the bill that they caused?
I applaud the mental gymnastics you put yourself through to blame Brexit.
So with the post Truss legacy (Baking a cake took longer) We now find ourselves with The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP as PM this is not some kind of freak show with HUNT AS THE CHANCELLOR this guy made Matt Hancock look like a priest in the NHS.
You are wrong , The hedge funders all shorted the pound just before truss took over, this is what caused the pound to crash, not the mini budget, and it forced truss out and they got their man rishi in the top job..
You are obsessed with brexit, it is your answer to everything. Unfortunately there are bigger bogeymen manipulating things in the shadows, while us plebs squabble among ourselves.

Anybody who wants to inform themselves of what is going on needs to look into the nefarious agenda of the Davos attendees.
They don't even hide their agenda and yet it is all a conspiracy theory

Immigrants have propped up this country for decades. That is why the NHS is now on its knees after we have made this country so unwelcoming for overseas workers.milly wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 19:18It isn’t opinion, it is fact. Could you possibly tell me how we can drive Workers wages up when mass immigration suppresses wage growth?LouBarlow wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 21:20Immigrants have propped up this country for decades. Maybe by building an internationalist socialist movement instead of falling back on the tired cliches of national socialism.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Markets are markets whether it be Housing Market Stockmarket or Labour Market and over supply leads to lower prices.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑13 Nov 2022, 22:03Maybe by building an internationalist socialist movement instead of falling back on the tired cliches of national socialism.
