Why aren't these offices being protected Martin?
Why aren't they out on strike?
Why isn't the whole Branch out?
What power do we currently have to take Unofficial IA?

Even at a stretch were it to be semi-legal after posting some form of notice we appear to be long past the stage of safely withdrawing labour and not having to worry about F&H.

This isn’t 1997 anymore and the CWU have clearly been taken aback with the aggression of the employer over the last 12 months.
I’m not sure we can blame them for a bit of a softly, softly at times.
Particularly as we’d go apeshit if a couple of offices got made an example of.

It was announced by Grant McPherson at the Managers beyond event at the new Midlands Super Hub earlier this week. Winton in the SW is one office and yes it has been raised as an issue.

Whilst the talks are on going nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. The CWU have served further strike action notices this week and apart from the MTSF redundancies Royal Mail are moving forward with their plans.

If Royal Mail are moving ahead with their plans regardless what are we negotiating about?

I am pretty sure the union ( maybe even Martin ) said that the ballot result could be used for individual offices to take action if executive action brought in anything unagreed.

So it wouldnt be unofficial

My manager told me this week our neighbouring SPDO was going to be coming in to our delivery office soon.Building planning team had been doing measurements and it is possible apparently! I laughed and said no chance, we have no room now. But having read the posts in this thread its quite clear now how they plan to do it.

Woody you keep spreading your poison.

In any dispute it is a case of brinkmanship and clearly Royal Mail would like us to stand down the strikes instead we have served notice on Thursday and Black Friday in line with the 14 days legislative law.

In return Royal Mail are saying we not halting their plans except in offering redundancies.

Do you really think walking away from the talks will mean Royal Mail pull back from the above ? The only time they are going to change their plans is with an agreement.

Oh and they need an agreement. The pressure mounts ahead of Thursday results and JP Morgan is predicting Royal Mail will announce loss of almost a billion pounds.

So no the union are dealing with the real fundamental issues which come with that as well as all the other issues within the dispute. I won’t be posting again on this thread. I informed this site as I had received several emails about where Royal Mail were on changes to sorting.

If Royal Mail do anounce it has lost a Billion pounds with thursdays results, Can Ofcom not get directly involved now as talking about fidicary duty? Everything it seems is coming to a pinacle one way or another this week. Hope am in error but seems CZECH mate with VESA and never discussed for some reason the consequence on any proposed deal reached?

He says JP Morgan are predicting the possibility of a billion pound losses over the year.
Anything is possible of course but you can always find someone to support your narrative.

If a billion pound losses were going to be announced why has the share price risen about 70p over the last week?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Probably if a Bilion pounds has been lost the sale of GLS to VESA will be an overiding objective. Nothing more than speculation at this point though but likely to plug that financial hole in the books

Would it be easy for them to incorporate DO's near a mail centre into the mail centre, then sell the land the old DO's were on?
If all the sorting machines were removed and everything went manual they could, that's the only way they'd get the room for it to happen.

The CWU seriously need to serve notice Monday on strikes leading into the new year

Royal Mail need an agreement? Bless you and your precious little delusional postal executive committee. This union has once a f***ing gain cocked up and us posties will be punished for your complete incompetence. The strategy for strikes was embarrassing, one day a week?! We do that 6 times a year anyway with the bank hols. Then the cock up of the functional strikes(Jesus f***ing christ). Then the backing down of this weeks strikes. You have over 100k members backing you and the best you can achieve is a few days talks at ACAS after Royal Mail outsmarted yous and ripped up all our agreements. Never mind having a hissy fit and saying you will no longer be replying to members in this thread, you should be ashamed of yourself and apologising to all of us.
I look forward to the disgrace of a deal you will try to sell us next week.

The place for CSS machines is inside DO’s not MC’s, you can all run your sequencing on site with an early shift.
No need to have it all sequenced later and later into the night at MC’s and then driven out to you.
Delivery offices are the place for CSS machines.
