I’m dubious of this. If true surely at the very least, one employee would be shouting their dissatisfaction from the rooftops, either via social media or on hereSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 07:10Heard of one DO where this has been brought in, all the prep frames have apparently been removed already and apart for medical reasons NO ONE has their own walk, you get allocated a walk each day

You can clearly see RM’s approach to the posties job.
Close down Delivery Offices , drive to the Mail Centre, load up and off you go
Self employed,
Own Van.
No work colleagues.

All we got left now is go in do your hours let them f**k it up and hope the union can support us when the s**t hits the fan,and everyone witness any bullying and harassment and take them to tribunal's including court action on every occurrence ,if they want a fight lets give it to them, only do your job as directed and no more, this company won't go far without the dressing room, and one more thing stop doing overtime you dingleberries.

Didn’t they Come up with this idea a number of years ago where you supposedly come in and take your already prepped walk out to your van. So presumably you’ll get double the letters and parcels you get now. Great !!!

Re: Unagreed trial into a frameless office
Was it not part of the joint statement with the CWU that RM agreed to a de-escalation of tension to help with 'intense talks' that are now taking place. This trial clearly goes against the spirit of that joint statement. If this is happening now, it's quite clear here that we are dealing with a management who have no intention of honouring any thing.
I feel the CWU are wasting their time with this management. RM are just talking for the sake of talking and will use it to say we tried but the CWU are just holding us back and therefore we must move with executive action on everything to achieve out goal.
We are being shafted left right and centre and the job we have today is being destroyed by these bastards. I can see nothing but an all out strike to bring this dispute to a conclusion. Better to have fought and lost than to be submit and walked all over.

Re: Unagreed trial into a frameless office
A year, a few years ago, I would have got all hot and bothered by this post and others, running around like a headless chicken - OMG, OMG, even after 35 years plus service, but now, I don't care, what will be, will be, just do my hours, go home, look forward to my day off, holidays, etc .. don't know if this is quietly quitting, but makes work a bit more bearable...

Re: Unagreed trial into a frameless office
My guess is that RM are "trialling it" at 1 DO in each area covered covered by an MC.
The bit about 1 wave will be interesting, assuming that we won't be allowed to do any sequencing until plan 1 has finished being run through the iLSMs/IMPs (sorts to manual, directs/firms and sequencing batches). Assuming that it ends up being 1 wave for everything, we won't start the sequencing till around 06:00. You'd probably be looking at around 45-50mins a batch, probably around a dozen batches per CSS. You can easily see where RM are going with start times in DOs.
In MCs the sequencing work would go over to earlies, which will be fun as I believe locally they might not now have anyone CSS trained, and I doubt they'd have the staff to release anyone from Tracked and 2C packets anyway.
Could RM be looking at a massive wave of DO mergers?

Re: Unagreed trial into a frameless office
That’s the problem I have with all that’s happening. Even if the CWU reach an agreement that they recommend we accept how do we trust the current CEO to stick to that agreement when all past agreements seem to mean absolutely nothing to him. Someone posted on here that just last week he visited a parcel hub and was repeating his “our business to run” mantra to the managers there.I_Take_My_Breaks wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 09:29Was it not part of the joint statement with the CWU that RM agreed to a de-escalation of tension to help with 'intense talks' that are now taking place. Too much has happened and been said and we have been treated with too much contempt for me to ever trust this guy again. I really don’t think I would vote yes to any agreement while he is still in place.

Would it be easy for them to incorporate DO's near a mail centre into the mail centre, then sell the land the old DO's were on?

Re: Unagreed trial into a frameless office
It won't in my opinion, can you imagine how much longer it'll take to try slotting all the mail and smaller parcels in as opposed to simply putting in a designated slot in the correct order, the sequenced letters these days are quite a small proportion of the total mail.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 06:53How will this work? Anyone who's taken a delivery out after tying up using this method let us know, can't imagine it will end well.

This is what I cannot fathom. I’m desperate for some positive news & this dispute to be settled. I fully back the union but I’m mentally tired of it all.
