So what parameters do you envisage this 'case by case' scenario? and how would that not be descrimanation?
Discrimination in the workplace is not illegal unless that discrimination is based on a protected characteristic defined in law (eg race, sex, age pregnancy, disability). They could, if they wanted, choose to discriminate against every employee whose name begins with the letter J and there would be nothing illegal about that.
Sickness absence record (if not connected to a disability) and performance or disciplinary issues are often used as criteria by businesses making employees redundant.
9 months no one will take that, if they want rid of people they will need to pay us! listen the company has plenty of money i reckon, plead skint but deepdown they could pay 2 years if they want, instead trying to be measley 9 months is a joke, no one will go unless its at least 12 months , modest would be 18 months

In what way, the more you're sick, the better to get rid of. Or a good sickness record would be prioritized? You didn't say which.

If you were going anyway, and a lot are planning it, then anything would be a bonus. I think you'll find 5000 would say thank you very much for £8k -£10k and skip out the office whistling a tune. I know I would!
I work in processing and doubt many would go for 9 months money. Obviously it's a walk in the park compared to delivery. Lots of our work has gone to the super hubs so they will be wanting people to go come February. They will have to make it compulsory as I along with most others will happily plod along for a few more years.

Probably get penalised for being good, like most things in life. Got savings? You'll pay for nursing home, spent up? You'll get it free.
