We are being played here, and allowing a vote on the deal will likely backfire with a significant percentage voting to accept (could have been worse / “oh simon says he’ll let me have special hours cos i’ve gotta pick the kids up” etc)

First point is speculation, we've already have multiple "all out" strikes, which have been legal, what makes Black Friday / Cyber Monday any different?
If a significant proportion of people vote to accept the deal, then the CWU would have a clear mandate to then go and agree a similar deal on behalf of their members.
Honestly, if people haven't realised by now that, we're going to have to accept a watered down version of the deal on the table (hopefully with a bit more money), then they need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Royal Mail took the CWU to court, and successfully argued that people were opening ballots in the workplace, we're being pressured to vote in a certain way, and the ballot was illegal. This was due to some numpties opening their mail in the DO, and then posting videos of that on Facebook.

2 of the upcoming dates fell when I was on annual leave which meant I wouldn't take a hit for another 2 days pay but others have had several dates fall on rest days etc, so haven't lost as much money but hey ho I guess that's how the cookie crumbles except I can't afford cookies right now
You're sounding a bit sorry for yourself there Ali. We're all in the same boat, I know it's a lot easier money wise if Strike Days fall on your Day Off, Holiday or Sick Leave but you've just to try and take it a Strike Day at a time.

Was injuncted because people took the voting slips straight from the fittings rather than having it delivered to their own homes. Plus adding the photos on social media of what they voted for etc etc. Then after covid happened and we were the fourth emergency service so the union backed down strikes.

Baffled me cancelling the 12th/14th to be honest, sends out the wrong message in my opinion.
I was pretty underwhelmed but I'll back the Union 100% otherwise we are finished.
Pure guesswork but perhaps there's a danger RM would get an injunction for those dates, if the union haven't balloted their members on the pay rise?
That's not written in law yet,they don't have to ballot us on an offer,yet.

i doubt it they want to get rid of us all,i'll rephrase it ,i'll be made redundant,and the 2% wasn't won by our union.
