They don’t have a clue how to run it together
And they should be insisting on dsa pay full wack or refuse to deliver

It's crazy that people who work for Royal Mail would think 5 day letters is a good thing....
The number of jobs that will be lost and as much as 99% of what we deliver isn't urgent what about the hospital letter for a cancer patient etc?
The service we provide compared to when I started is shocking but then look how much stamps have gone up in those 28 years!
The regulator is in Royal Mail's back pocket or receiving back handers if they go along with this their job is to do the best for the customer not help Simple Simon get rid of staff and boost profits and dividends
I like the optimism that it will be a 5-day letter operation.
It's more like 1 in 5 letter operation. Seeing plenty of walks only getting to addresses once a week, unless they order something tracked/special delivery.
Exactly this , Covid has shown Royal Mail the future, people genuinely don’t care about getting letters every day , they’d be ok with delivery every couple of days , Tracked and specials every day .
Nothing to do with COVID. This was happening long before that at ours. It's about cutting delivery to the bone. We had the worst revision of all time years ago and never recovered from it. Not had a full timer for over 12 years. All PT now.

It isn't a matter of thinking it is a good thing. It is being realistic.
We used to deliver letters twice a day. We don't any longer because it didn't make sense.
It no longer makes any sense to be delivering letters 6 days/week.
It's a sad fact in my opinion.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
I can see it happening, monday to saturday with every tuesday off. Nobody ever said 5 day letter delivery would be mon - fri. Tuesday very light on letters. Saturday 3rd heaviest day of the week in our office.

Sorry this is nonsense, no firms , schools etc. open Saturday, so letters just sit in the office until Monday , makes no sense.
