Is this true - Nationwide OT ban for rolling strikes weeks?
We've been told no overtime of any sort will be available to anyone Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, and that the same will hold for any future strike weeks (presumably with the days shifting if necessary to reflect when the strike days are.

Monday overtime next week is as usual and I presume, though it hasn't been explicitly stated, Saturday overtime will be available for those who want/need it.

Lots of - understandably - pissed off part timers (who've worked f/t hours for years) at our place and a few rather insouciant full-timers who never did any anyway. Goodness knows how RM expect any of our rounds to be prepped and ready to go out before midday when this comes in. But I suspect they don't care.

Posters on Workplace are suggesting their managers have said just concentrate on delivering Tracked and Specials!! Perhaps it's a clever move by ST, as when customers complain he can respond by just blaming us for striking and in the meantime save a small fortune in o/t whilst hitting our wallets even harder. What a shore of sh!t this company has become in the last few months.

Lovely that PT'ers get the shaft with this overtime ban. A few are questioning the legal standpoint of this as it seems discriminatory.

Will be absolute chaos within a week. Trackeds failing, big customers going elsewhere, I’ve already heard Boots are looking at alternative couriers. Another major f**k up but bring it on, they won’t break us!

Yes we’ve been told the same. So Royal Mail doesn’t give a s**t about standard parcels, which should be treat the same way as trackeds, the customer has paid for a service at the end of the day. There’s ones in our place that have been lying about for a week!

We've been told the same plus we've got to flex 30 minutes cue a load of disgruntled posties.

Not sure who’s running the circus. Managers offering out overtime to everyone coming through the door. Probably be business as normal on Saturday only with far more overtime available. Might stop it again when the rolling strikes start but should be near clear by that time.

There is no agreement to flex 30 minutes. They can ask you. You can say no.

Flex is only with your agreement and only in an emergency like a road traffic accident or train crash. It's with your consent.

We do not take industrial action one day and then sort out the mess imposed upon us by managerial incompetence.

You, we, do not have to be flexible at all. Especially under these circumstances.
STAND UP.
