Compulsory Sunday working is the uncrossable line for most in our office. 95% of us are up to and over time every day so annualised hours/SISO is only feared by a limited few people. Commit to deliver is a red herring.

This is a deal Unite say their members should accept, that doesn't mean they will. Ours screws are in full support of us, I can't imagine a single delivery office manager that wants the terms and conditions he is pushing onto us as that affects them too. Some of them have young kids to pick up, none of them want to work sundays, they openly support us, No idea where you lot work that your managers want you to accept terms that would f**k them over also.

I don't care about Sunday working as long as it's not regular and as long as if you're down for a Sunday - you get the Saturday off...

but i'd also say - what about non-drivers - I guess they would get Sundays off whereas the rest of us that have a driving license will have to work. It should not be that way. It's not going to be fair is it. Sunday working deserves higher pay than the rest of the week.

Drivers in our office took a lump sum payment to be Drivers. Greedy bastard's couldn't wait for the payment. Why not, short loops, less D2D'S easy life.

Imagine after all this IA if CWU came back to us with 5.5% pay rise and an agreement to talk, which probably means agree?, about all the proposed changes to our T&C's, we'd all go ballistic! Isn't the £1,000 one off payment less than the bonus most of the managers missed out on last year?

Not a bad deal really. Don't know why people are so hung up on having to work the occasional Sunday? It's not as if we work mon-fri bow is it? So if you work a Sunday a month, big deal, you get another day in the week off.
