Strikes 'possible' in postal row

Union leaders have warned postal bosses that workers could strike over plans to shut Coventry's sorting office and move it to another county.

Royal Mail is planning to close the Bishop Street office in the spring, even though a site for its replacement in Northamptonshire has not been found.

About 600 people work in the Coventry sorting office.

Union officials said they were in talks with Royal Mail over the issue but had not ruled out industrial action.

yes they intend to close more and use 'super mail centres' in the very near future lets be honest al and ad need to sell of more of the family china to pay the vastly overinflated bonus payments they recive this year
