Whatever Royal Mail told them to be.
They are after all their largest donor.
Whatever Royal Mail told them to be.
OFCOM and Si 'more or less' Thompson obviously haven't spoken to the same 'customers':daveyeff wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 19:39what was ofcoms findings on the USO?Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 19:07It's pretty clear there are two versions of our union.
It has multiple personality disorder.
It will be interesting to see how any potential deal plays out because none of Royal Mail's proposed changes improve our terms and conditions so who will be sacrificed to get this deal and who will be protected.

Woody I’m worried that you’re on to something regarding the release issueWoody Guthrie wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 18:31Why?We are not going to resolve this dispute not discussing pay and change together.
We didn't ask for change, Royal Mail introduced change into the equation so they could manipulate our pay demand into their change agenda.
Most of the other unions who've negotiated pay increases for their members lately have managed it without eroding their terms and conditions and let's be brutally honest here that's exactly what we mean by "change", continually managing the decline of our terms and conditions.
To be honest we're sick of "deals of the century" and the unit reps are sick of explaining away capitulation.
Why didn't you stand firm?
Why didn't you stick to the mandate given to you by the members to negotiate a separate pay deal? Why even throw that out there if you didn't think you had the balls to pull it off?
Is it the threat to full release Martin, was that a bridge too far?

Well the shareholders did after simon thompson gave them £450 million in dividends himself was probably one, But they also gave themselves the CEO and Chairman and Directors way more than inflation. You have to ask yourselves if your need is worth their greed!britwrit wrote: ↑08 Oct 2022, 00:45These tyoes of threads tend to go off on tangents but....Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑07 Oct 2022, 19:07It's pretty clear there are two versions of our union.

Seriously? Our customers are folks who send stuff. Whoever said they wanted worse service for the same price or more?
Remuneration and Evolution agreement of 2022 is that a good title!postslippete wrote: ↑08 Oct 2022, 17:29Royal Mail want to discuss "change and pay". The CWU now want to discuss "pay and change"
You know that negotiations are not going to go well if they can't agree on what order they want to discuss things in

As any agreement is written is salt coated floors and will be blown away in the sands and winds of time are contracts worth there while then for anybody? This country of ours is a dictatorship ruled by the few for the profit of the few good old Liz Truss only got 81,326 votes and now leads the nation into the abyss of capitalism at all costs!
Whatever it is we now want we'll be no nearer to it after Monday's meeting . I'm not in the slightest bit hopeful there will be any progress .Surreypostie wrote: ↑08 Oct 2022, 21:54I seriously worry that this strike will collapse. We are supposed to be striking for two things, one being a no strings pay rise, what is what we voted for, that is what they have a 90 odd percent mandate to go for. Now Martin Walsh says on here, it isn't going to happen, now we are talking about 2 year deals and more stings than pinochio. If it goes on much longer, I will cross the line, quit the union and bollocks to all of it.
Deal of the century
Legally binding, my arse, it was a no strike clause, no disrepect but 17 glorified postman making the decisions.
What I want to know is, if we are no longer fighting for a no strings pay rise, what will the PEC think is a suitable offer to put before us? I personally have no idea what we want anymore.
