My partner didn’t come into work today so as usual I went about prepping both works for told after 40 mins not to prep the one that wasn’t going leave it as if there’s anything in the frame it is classed as a failure so they took all my mail out left it under the frame it doesn’t get classed as a failure so it looks like the strikes aren’t working

This happened during COVID, there were days when packet drivers who were used to prepping rounds for late starters were told not to prep it and they would literally stand around for a few hours as there was nothing for them to do. A scandalous waste of resources.

The same is happening now, we are being told anything we can’t deliver do not take out, simply pull it back out of the frame and put it in trays.

Yes it goes down as work time failure or something that isn’t a walk failure we’ve even told today it’s basically for figures so it looks like walks aren’t failing

I’m not really sure how things are reported - can they simply put the trays back near IPS for the morning, and say rounds are cleared but IPS isn’t?

Its classed as a work plan failure which doesnt need to be reported for the authorities to class as a USO failure.

happenning in our office ,throw off your mech a box of flats and tracked packets leave everything else under your bench,cant wait till month think i'm going to need a bigger bench.

yeah they want the frame clear so they can take pics and send to uncle simon like alls fine. our office is a disaster we take it all out and bring back 3-6 loops daily, trays of mail building up again but you still have people coming in early , not taking breaks and working till 6pm to clear

may i ask who took out all the specials & tracked of the other duty? and not forgetting all the hospital appointment letters
we have an hospital on our duty too and during the virus era we always took it when if the duty was failing,
ours seem to think that the other that is going out must take them all in magically zero time, yes you may save 20/30 minutes working alone but they're too thick to understand that part, but they just assume it can be all done
we have 1 comm who is generally ok, and don't give a flying F most of the time what goes and what don't, but even he has started questioning what's being left in and looking quite stressed these days

If it hasn't been prepped, it can be classed as a work plan failure rather than a USO failure (don't ask me why). However, pulling prepped mail out of an RM2000 frame, and then reporting it as a workplan failure is out and out wrong. It is also really stupid, as RM have to pay someone a second time to put it back in the frame. I can only assume that the USO failures are starting to stack up and they want those numbers back down.

Been this way since 2020. Much of the company's reponse to the pandemic was repurposed plans for the expected strike action, so nothing's really changed. So long as the Tracked are done

Over 50% of our walks are leaving at least 4 loops in each day. How does this get reported, just by total number of walks that have part failed USO, or the actual walk numbers? i.e the duty number.
