Is there a list somewhere of what is now available and some sort of idea of what is reasonable, (amount and frequency wise), to order without DOMs consent.

When you telephone your order you need to know what you want and the required sizes. How are you supposed to prepare this unless you know what is available and in what sizes.

Your DOM should supply you with a uniform chart with measuring instructions and a description of the items you are eligible for, which is a lot more than they've given you so far, if you are on outdoor delivery. We had a look at the new uniform today at the roadshow that visited our office - some good kit amongst it but not all available to handle as it had "disappeared" whilst being viewed at previous venues. I asked if it will be a block order as we had done with a complete uniform change some years ago but was told that they will still send old style items until they run out. So if you can hang on for a couple of months before ordering, most of the kit should be from the new issue. Trousers are better with a side cargo pocket for p739 cards etc and there is a lightweight roll up showerproof jacket. High visibility gear and fleeces will now be in red. Your DOM should have illustrations somewhere or ask if there is a roadshow due in your area. (It includes new transport units such as electric high capacity trolleys and illustrations of the proposed walk sequencing program) Hope this is some help to you.
