Seems to me maybe the union is being just as pig headed as RM.
The union has certain lines in the sand that at the moment the business is refusing to make concessions on.
That's fine- but what are they??
If its annualised hours why not just agree on 45 minutes flex, or whatever.
If its sick pay, concede a little.
If the union has lines in the sand as well as RM, then the whole idea of striking is utterly pointless.
I'm absolutely not going to continue striking unless I hear reasonable reasons for the impasse- the union keep on blaming RM for not talking; perhaps it's time cards were put on the table.
We need to be kept in the loop, not in the dark.

Because st has said he wants 44 hours or more in the cold months and a commitment to deliver they clearly dont want to negotiate but force through what should the union do just let them,no one knows the outcome, you keep asking the same questions the answers dont change.
He wants 44, the union want zero.
The answer is somewhere in the middle.
Commit to deliver I agree is a total non starter for all sorts of reasons.
ST must surely know hes never going to get that.
Maybe hes just banking on us folding- who knows?
The fact I will keep repeating is we need to be kept informed- its not too much to ask.

The union dont want zero thats what overtime is for RM just dont want to pay for it thats basically it we end up with skeleton overtime prob non at all in summer which p/t timers rely on but will it even work who knows but we do have to try and stop it do you not think.

Hold the phone, arent the part timers worried that a later start will mean they cant collect kids, but they dont want the overtime taking off them either (which by defination must happen when the should be picking kids up anway? confussing statement?

I mean the union want zero as in zero flex.
If overtime is there the union should have been pushing for that part timer be made up to full time.
That's not been happening for years at my DO- maybe if they had we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Don't get me wrong- I agree we need to fight, I just think a bit more openness is needed.
I also appreciate what the union is up against, and the government to an extent which of course is anti union.
Add in the mix the talk of a takeover (name change being pushed through a potential signal here), and it's a total mess.

I think one thing SISO will do is stop all the ghosting, people want overtime but what they really mean is they want paying to do work over and obove their assigned duty and to be paid for it regardless of finishing time. I don't do overtime usually and one reason for that is I don't want to be walking the streets until 5 or 6 o'clock and I certainly won't be doing any when we start and finish later. I think later starts and finishes are a certainty. Annulaised hours for me is a no no.
Yep - you're not allowed to finish on a break RM policy, I am afraid, it will log you as leaving early, and pay will be deducted. Come in at your official start time, take your breaks, and go home at your finish time, it's not rocket science.
It doesn't dock ya pay, we have had siso for about a year now
There are certain things that were agreed before it wasn't agreed if you know what I mean.
One is that it wouldn't be used to reduce contracted hours and the other was that it would not affect pre-agreed overtime so in theory both running around then going home early and ghosting will still occur.
Whether that's still the case now it's unagreed more than agreed is anyone's guess.

My better half uses SISO where she works and all pay including overtime is linked to it. So give it time it will come.

They said they weren't going to use pda data,if history teaches us anything.
