CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER LAPSING
Full timers will have to work till their time rather than gettin away home at 12ish and being paid till after 1. Us partime staff get paid right till we finish our day. Havin to do extra bags to make ends meet. Just think its a good move

I am full time and I work my full hours and sometimes more so please try not to tar everyone with the same brush.
My pet peeve is Generalisation.
Everyone is an individual, some are hard workers, others are work shy fops, some on here at New Labour, some are right wing, some are Conservatives, some are communists, some are syndicalists, some are socialists. Some people agree with flexibility some do not, some on here think Royal Mail is a great place to work, some think its going down hill fast. Some think Royal Mail should be a service and others say it should be run for profit and see nothing wrong with privatisation Some on here think think the Union can do no wrong, others think its an old boys club that is sinking into oblivion fast. Some want to support the Union as it is, some wish to change it.
There is no point in labelling people, as some one says put 4 people in the same room with differing views and you'll get a good conversation, put 4 people who always agree with each other and they will have nothing to talk about. Everyone is an individual and therefore everyone should be treated as such.
IMHO the more different opinions we get on here the better, just do not resort to name calling and generalisation or labelling such as "All Full Timers are Lazy", or "All union members can't think for themselves", or "calling all those who get on with their managers strike breakers"

Phase 2 of the pay and modernisation agreement deals only with the absorbing of indoor work. The trials later on will determine any changes in the coverage of outdoor work. So you might have to wait a while to see them extra bags being carried.LUV THE SMELL OF LETTERS wrote:thats just the type of attitude that gives me reason to like the idea of the summer lapsing. enjoy the extra bags wont you

We have 'flexibility' in our office now, well sort of, the typical RM version, some have to do extra work if they get back early, some don't. I've tried telling them to do the job properly, but they think doing 15mins work and going home 30 - 60 mins early is a good idea. Wait until they try and do Georoute on the office, quite a few of them are not all that senior, so we know who will being doing the s**t jobs, and they will only have themselves to blame.
