Scan in/out

I said the very same thing to our union rep who said that it’s a reasonable request from management ie to scan in and out, and if you don’t do it you could be conducted.

My response to that is we are in industrial action for terms and conditions and surely this scanning in and out is a different term and condition to what we had, and which will ultimately lead to annualised hours and a worsening of our terms and conditions.

I’m very surprised the union has not told us to have nothing to do with this scan in/out until any agreement is reached!!

I work in a mail centre / delivery office .

mail centre manager is over the whole office.

The union agreed only processing would scan in and out ????????

Delivery keep coming in early (unpaid)

Distribution keep rushing back off collections, Etc . To finish Early??

The latter two would have been detrimental to the interests of the MCM.

Collections aren’t part of distribution it falls under delivery hence that’s why they are looking at clocking in and out

Locally I believe that collections are separate from both distribution and delivery, even though they're based in the MC. Don't know about managers but everyone else, processing, distribution and collections have to SISO

DITTO ! we are due to have it 31st October our rep says they can bring it in as they already have enforced the 2% rise on us ? I feel like the local reps now are just doing what the managers ask. Can anyone see them bringing in all the changes with little or no resistance from our local reps ? DOWNRIGHT RIDICULOUS !

Are we expected to take our break then? Because if you scan out before your time it will pick this up and presume you’ve had breaks, also how does this work in shared vans with full timers and part timers on different breaks and start times

I think the main problem is they literally find out when we do

No one in our place knows what's expected of them,whats right or wrong,are the managers taking the piss and getting you to do things not agreed,what to leave what not to leave ,are you opening up to conduct ,just wish we had regular meeting with the union to let us know what we are doing and what is going on.

If it's not been agreed by the UNION which it hasn't, they will force it through with executive action. If that's the case forget about going that extra mile during xmas.

We've been told we're getting it by end of month, no discussion, it's happening.
Union rep never said a word.
Seems to me we're losing by death by a thousand cuts.
The union needs to do something more than strikes, and fast.

It’s been agreed in the pathway to change agreement,
The worry now is there not sticking to this agreement & will use the data to do what they want.

We sign in on a signing in sheet when we arrive at work, we are supposed to sign out when we go on delivery and sign in when we get back and then sign out when we go home. We are supposed to do this already, if there was a fire they wouldn't have a clue who is in the building and who isn't. I have no issue scanning in and out whatever the union agree, what are you all so worried about? If you sign out and put 2pm on the sheet and you are running out of the door at 11am surely that is a conduct issue so no real difference.
