Claiming to be skint and unable to give a decent pay rise whilst giving away work and profit to the competition.

There's going to be battle after battle in the next year. Can't see it ending well.
Part of the plan of splitting the company and driving the core letter deliveries to the wall. At the same playing poverty card not to award us anything as the less the pay us the bigger the profits. Workforce bills accounts up to 70% of the total costs for the company, so I can understand why they fight tooth and nail not to award us anything. This decision though is difficult to explain, must be an introduction to the recently announced split of GLS and Royal Mail otherwise, what else it could be? Maybe it is anti industrial action protection so whatever happens here will not affect GLS as it is their jewel in the crown and for royal mail they couldn't care less. Any thoughts?
