If only it was that simple. There's duties that will not be subject to any change. There's duties that are going to disappear. Martin claims that the first office to go into the experiment had 7 options to vote on before the experiment got or gets underway.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑24 Feb 2025, 08:39RM will just create a new duty set and have a re-sign. Anyone who refuses to chose a duty from the new duty set will be declared supernumerary and will likely be made to move to another DO.tramssirhc wrote: ↑24 Feb 2025, 07:59That's not the CWU's position. Vote no.TopperGas wrote: ↑23 Feb 2025, 22:06Or work longer each day you work which seems the companies plan backed by the CWU, the earlier suggestion of decreasing duties by 20% seems to have been binned.Nickvilla20 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2025, 21:54For this to work on my current delivery I would have to lose around 150 calls from the current 750 I have.
If we are going to get a 70%+ call rate daily then I have absolutely no chance of competing the delivery.
I've no idea what happens if most of the posties in a DO refuse to work longer hours each day.

The jobs to manage the plan have been advertised. There is no going back. However that doesn't mean the CWU can be allowed to just go along with it. Tell your reps your not having it.stars2025 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2025, 20:49theres no way this new way of working not coming in, all this vote nonsense dont count for s**t, royal mail will plough through as usual, they aint messing about, they wouldnt do all these trials and not put it through, as for double mail , treble mail all the time, our backs will be broke, injuries galore, no one will be able to sustain this long term, its a cull of posties

And to top it all, Martin Walsh has — yet again — come on this forum (a forum designed for discussion), bandied around some bald assertions, this time about a vote by a pilot DO on seven supposed options, only to again disappear and ignore members’ questions.

It's a tripartite attack - regulator, industry, union. Don't let the CWU get away with it.

He:s had a bollocking for saying too much again. Don't let up, keep the pressure on. Defeat the CWU's plans.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 04:26And to top it all, Martin Walsh has — yet again — come on this forum (a forum designed for discussion), bandied around some bald assertions, this time about a vote by a pilot DO on seven supposed options, only to again disappear and ignore members’ questions.

Have you asked your local rep what the 7 options are? It would be nice to know. Are you a walk holder in a DO Chris?tramssirhc wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 07:09Tell the CWU to tell you. Our reps have absolutely no idea what's going on. The '7 options' is a mystery.Londonsburning wrote: ↑25 Feb 2025, 19:57Have you asked your local rep what the 7 options are? It would be nice to know.
