And the people who voted no, will do a little dance when they receive their bonus. I've never heard so much s**t in my life. It's over, it's done with, accept it.
Couldn’t agree more. All these No voters who claimed they were doing so because they had dignity or principles will show they have neither when they pocket this money in September. If they did, they would refuse it, or donate it to charity.

I won’t hold my breath.
You were willing to accept whatever crumbs were thrown our way by RM early in the dispute weren’t you?
sorry i dont quite understand your question
Sorry it was for Lou. I could be wrong but I think he was against any strike action and was willing to take whatever was offered early in the dispute. If so maybe he should refuse the lump sums.
And for clarity I voted yes .
not a problem bro, my mistake thinking that you were asking me

i have my opinions and my views on alot of things, some which may be considered contervertial.

as i have mentioned above in previous posts, i was a strong NO voter, mainly due to the sick pay and IHR side, i also not a fan of the lump sum payments, as i am of the camp that Lump sums are not as good as if those lump sums were consolodated into our actual hourly rate.

i am certainly not happy with the result, i dont mind admitting to this, but i not one to spit the dummy out just becuase things didnt go the way i wanted them to.

theres many many things i could touch on, as to why i think we as a union are in this position now, but this would just be my opinion and we are all entilted to them.

what ever happens from now on i wish no ill feelings towards any collegue or that.

good luck bro

Nobody was willing to accept crumbs before, give us a break.
It's not crumbs now, is it ?
£1400 smackeroos :cuppa

£1400 doesn’t cover 18 days lost in pay or A/l that you lost if you went on strike.
That's the way the cookie crumbles. We win some, we lose some.
Anyway it is all water under the bridge now. We have to look forward in life.

It would have been much better if we were getting the lump sums sooner I must agree.

The only choice you have is to leave Royal Mail. if you're choice is to leave the Union, then you're making our collective bargaining weaker.

Sadly i wont have a choice soon as RM are forcing me out the door (due to a disability) after 10 years of service. the last 2 years ive had 100% attendance. just showing you reasons as to why i came to my decision is all

RM's Problem

The forecasted number of staff losses after the payout is detrimental to the operation of the company. Recruitment is proving far more difficult than expected. Once traffic increases rounds designed to push staff limits will fail catastrophically. The current target of customer growth (win back) with fail. Share price and shareholder confidence will drop.

RM's strategy:

Hold as many outbound staff to ransom over the summer period. Those that fail to acquire employment before the end of September will be hard-pushed to before Christmas, falling into a "might as well get Christmas out the way" mindset. After Christmas, they will again feel the need to stay on across the "quieter" period to earn back extra time previously worked for free.
Not necessarily as according to what Zareena has said, all you really need to do now is just hold out till after 4th August and they'll pay you back the lump sum regardless if you've left the company or not. Whether this is legally binding is a different question since union and the company tend to avoid answering these questions for obvious reasons 😒 Can't say I'm surprised the company is holding out on the money and putting egg on the union's face even further when they were going online telling people that 21st July they were looking to get the pay rise sorted. Recall them saying that the £500 lump sum would be at the earliest next payroll date after the agreement as well but never said a perspective date. Way to cover their asses there.
