T48s are been delivered on a Sunday from July!
Haha why?! No one will be expecting these. Managers will be going spare.
Haha usual RM solution I suspect, I think round here they pay 6 hours overtime to the Sunday volunteers regardless so obviously it costs a fortune to deliver 20 parcels or whatever each, so instead of planning it properly from day one years ago they think I know we'll send s**t loads more work to fill their time. :thumbdown

As per the OP, my COM was told yesterday by his manager to come up with and implement new rotas for recent starts (since mid 2021) to include Sundays as a standard working day. Due to go live at the end of July apparently.

I don’t see why mandatory Sunday working will be necessary given how contracts for new starters have included Sundays as a working day for a while now. There will be more than enough to cover the workload, especially with the natural turnover of staff going forward.

All the new gig economy contracts for new RM jobs advertised are including Sundays.

In a couple of years time, tops - everyone in RM will be aligned to the same contract. Possibly with some pisstake payment...happy days :arrrghhh .

And there will still be some on here grateful and absolutely loving getting a flat low rate for working when RM want you too :nana

If the quote below is correct and with the way RM are pushing forward can't see that 2.5 for 6 will continue
when they're cutting hours to the bone everywhere else.

Yes, quite correct, legacy staff will not be getting paid extra to work sundays going forward.
Only duty holders will keep the legacy sunday rate.
And you won't get it on OT or SA either.

Yup If they can get anyone desperate enough to take the new gig contract, they will be covering all the Sunday work.

There will be little to no Sunday extra work available to legacy staff.

Before we get to 2025 and all contracts are aligned and RM basically decide how and when you will work, because the job and union are finished with this sell out.

I’d like to know when the alleged “cut off” date will be for the sunday premium?

I’m guessing it will be after a Yes vote on the aggreement?

Where's this happening?
Big DO within farting distance of London
It's not just London ffs. It's nationwide. All new starts in the last 20 months are on massively inferior terms and conditions and pay and most work a Sunday at their local LAT office with no Sunday premium just their £11.59 paid monthly. Coming to a contract near you soon. If you'd vote yes you'd deserve EVERYTHING you'd get.

Because voting no will result in contracts for new starters being improved. Give your head a wobble.

Well today I had 89 lats across a massive rural area. Two of the casuals took maybe 25 packets between them... when I got back they were sat in the car park smoking with the manager, who then asked me if I could take another 30 packets out as I still had 10 minutes of my scheduled 6 hours left.
I didn't

Same can be said if you vote no you deserve everything you get. Simple fact is some people's time has run out, it's that final. Can blame both the company and the union for that. They might not like the deal however they not going to go on strike further if the union that is suppose to be representing them is waving the damn white flag and all seemed to be doing barely anything to the company. If the vote is a no however it's that close a gap say for example a Brexit like result you may as well kiss any striking goodbye because I don't even think the union would ever call a strike action with it so split down the middle. Hell, think of it this way of it this way if it's half and half, that's half the workforce you then have to convince that strike action will work. If it's a yes or a no I pretty much hope it's pretty decisive result.
