some in ours didn't get the 6k because of service/seniority. they were expecting all the old school/senior staff to snatch their hands off for the money, but it backfired on them big style. most of the 10 who left on VR were younguns. in their late 30s early 40s. so they didn't have the required service/seniority in to get the full amount. gaffers were heard to be moaning on cos all the senior oldies with health issues are still here.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 18:36Only half of the people in our office that got VR got the 6k extra because the other half werent offered it until months later - they were spitting feathers

I dont think that seniority or service length was the requirement to get the additional 6k - it just had to be rubberstamped by a certain date, which was the end of January if I recalldaveyeff wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 18:43some in ours didn't get the 6k because of service/seniority. they were expecting all the old school/senior staff to snatch their hands off for the money, but it backfired on them big style. most of the 10 who left on VR were younguns. in their late 30s early 40s. so they didn't have the required service/seniority in to get the full amount. gaffers were heard to be moaning on cos all the senior oldies with health issues are still here.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 18:36Only half of the people in our office that got VR got the 6k extra because the other half werent offered it until months later - they were spitting feathers![]()
Those who didnt get it, were the ones offered VR after that cutoff - which was unfair as it didnt matter if you applied in November, unless it was offered and signed off by the deadline you didnt get the extra

Despite Wardy and the boys crowing, and the Postal exec saying they're looking into revisions - I'm under the impression (been told) that NO reversal on massive duties NO new recruits after we've lost so many good people. NO worthwhile VR, as opposed to 2 years money. I'd love to finish at 4pm, having earnt no ot, and get home 5-6-7 o'clock depending on traffic. Sounds a cracking deal for £500 and a slap on the chops.

Max 104 Weeks but you needed to be at least 27 Service years in and over 47 age for that as a guide now max 30 weeks and a hell of a lot less if less than 55 age and service less 30. Not good the UK redundancy calculators will give you a bench mark!royalanneb wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 18:54Mozilla what are the existing MTSF terms ? It’s odd , when I look at this topic under blue shirts I can see there was a reply post today. Normally these topics are placed in order of which topic had the most recent reply. This topic is way down the order with replies from 9 th of May. I would expect it to be near the top with other posts that had a reply today. Odd…..
