Re: Ballot dates revealed
Although this particular ballot is about pay any sign of weakness will be used by Royal Mail to force through the changes they're proposing so you're effectively fighting for everything here.
Only a complete idiot would weaken the union's position at this time.

Yep financially I've been better than I am at the moment but I will definitely be voting for and striking among other things I'm pissed at the way we're being treated so let's do this.

It's done as far as being a money spinner for RM, along with any need to now refer to postie's as essential workers.

Re: Ballot dates revealed
28th July is the cut off date - if you hold shares by that point, you’ll receive the dividend which is actually paid 6th September.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: Ballot dates revealed
Have they even announced if they will be paying a dividend and if so at what percentage?
If it's an attractive divided then shares will rise considerably before the 28th then hit rock bottom on the 29th

Company says....company doesbritwrit wrote: ↑14 Jun 2022, 18:35Terry said that the company has dropped - at least for now - its threat to put through changes by executive action, that they'd be going back to talks on that next week. So yeah, I completely agree with you.2yearpostie wrote: ↑14 Jun 2022, 17:27Think you could be right,as this ballot is only about the rise and nothing to do with any of the changes i think most will see any rise as better than losing money striking.
The ballot on changes will be very different though.

“Today we will be serving a notice on Royal Mail Group over a pay claim, our claim for an inflation-based no strings pay award. The company has imposed 2% pay award, miles away from where inflation is, totally inadequate,” CWU’s deputy general secretary Terry Pullinger said in a video posted on Twitter.
“We will have the result (of the ballot) on the 19th of July. At that point, depending on where we are, we will make decision as whether we need to take industrial action, and if there has been no movement that is exactly what we will be recommending.”

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I haven't kept up to date with the details of the talks really just seen a few posters on boards in the MC.
One declaring that the union want a no strings attached 2% pay rise. With inflation currently running at about 10% I can only read the posting as declaring that the union are actively campaigning for a real term pay reduction of 8% for its members.
