Next day special delivery to Northern Ireland

Hi I have a small birthday letter en route from Birmingham to Northern Ireland. It should have arrived last Wednesday but the tracking just says its in transit in Northern Ireland MC. I cant get through to customer services for some reason as I've been on hold for nearly an hour. Any help would be greatly appreciated

According to the daily update for Yesterday, there was an issue with flights so it looks as though it's running late from the knock on effect.

Hopefully, It will turn up soon

Last night, technical issues delayed a flight from Edinburgh airport to Stansted airport. As a result, some mail posted yesterday in central and southern Scotland, due for delivery today in London, the south of England and Northern Ireland, may arrive later than planned.

Ah okay thank you, that would make some sense, its not the end if the world if its missing its just incase there's a few quid in it I might miss out on haha. 8 days late but ill still hold out for my beer tokens.

A special delivery that has been delayed by over a week, after being received at your local mail centre is bad news I’m afraid, especially when it’s card/letter sized.

However, the positive side with using a guaranteed service, you’ll receive a refund for your postage and the contents of your item are insured.

I can only apologise and say that a missing special delivery is a very rare occurrence, and people tend to get their butt kicked when it happens.

Still not showing as delivered or even getting to the Delivery Office - I would contact an official site to get it looked into @royalmailhelp on twitter are quite good.
