Major issues with International Tracked and Signed For.

Post by Negasonic138 »

Hi, if anyone wants a good mystery to solve, here's a good one, I have about 28 tracked packages gone missing that span from 24th Jan until recently. All were marked clearly as 'Printed Paper' in A3 carboard tubes with clear addresses and sent through my local post office by hand and checked.

I run an online print business selling prints and more than half of my recent international orders have had issues being delivered and been refused at HWDC or returned to the National Returns office? Some have apparently been returned to my PO Box (which I do not have). I am at a complete loss at what is going on with Royal Mail? If I have to refund or resend these it is going to completely ruin my business. I do not even know who to speak to about this.

Here are the tracking numbers for the missing and returned or undelivered items:

Ryan Richards - RN756641769GB
William Price - RN756641741GB
Sina Hubsch - RN756641707GB
Michael Casey - RN756641755GB
Luciano Roboty - RN756641715GB
Elizabeth Corriher - RN756641724GB
Blanche Dessainjean - RN756641891GB
Danielle DeJonge - RN756641931GB
Emma Anderson - RN756641945GB
Mirjam Hijmans - RN756641905GB
Juan Valencia - RN756641962GB
James Musico - RN756641959GB
Kenneth Deluze - RN756641914GB
Chad Labuda - RN756641928GB
Deborah Phillip - LB261536402GB
Pablo Dalmau - RN756642146GB
Emma Ventura - RN756642203GB
Aaron Meyer - RN756642194GB
Alice Modolo - RN756642163GB
Imane Sabel - RN756642177GB
Harrison - RN756642185GB
Anne Schroder - RN756642132GB
Daniela Brauns - RN756642407GB
Jules Vatin - RN756642659GB
George Schied - RN756642614GB
Charles Cote: LB261536583GB
Dusan Ivanovic - RN756642645GB
Robin Hugger (31 Jan) - RN756641083GB (This is the oldest and most interesting one as it has now apparently been sent to Germany)

If anyone could shed some light on this, it would really help.

What countries are they going to? If it’s Europe I’m having issues too. Are you making sure you’re filling out the correct customs forms as well ?

Hi, it's multiple countries, Europe and the US and also Canada. I don't put a customs form on, I write 'Printed Paper' on the tube and have never had any issues in 2 years until very recently but bear in mind half have been delivered fine and the other half haven't so it is not like it's just one batch, it is sporadic and random. Here is a good example: RN756642194GB this one has been all over the show. Thanks

I think no matter what you’re sending to another country it has to have a CN22 form on explaining what’s inside , the value of the item and signed by yourself otherwise they won’t allow it to travel there

Not true. Printed Papers are exempt. This is what OP is sending.

You wouldn't put a CN22 on a letter, would you?

... but you would put one on a parcel that weighs 5Kg, which is the maximum weight allowed under printed papers.

The correct question is: do the new customs rules have some kind of exemption for printed papers? Because if not, it needs a customs declaration.

Every letter I’ve sent to another country has always had to have a CN22 on, even before everything’s changed

Can you post a list of the countries that they were meant to be going to?

Hi, they were all places like Germany, Italy, USA, Canada etc so both the EU and also Northern America, both US and Canada. But is is random because I would say half have made it and half haven't. I haven't in two years ever put a CN22 on an A3 Cardboard tube going international that contains printed paper (at the advice of my local post office clerk) and they always weigh less than 5kg. I just cannot work it out and its costing me a fortune to sort it out and re-send everything while also having to keep 28 customers happy who never received their prints. The worst part is so many of the tracking numbers information doesn't even make any sense as to their location?
