Hi i posted a special delivery item yesterday with guaranteed delivery by 1pm today.
The tracking only shows Item Despatched to Chelmsford MC yesterday evening, no further updates.
Does this mean the item has not even gone to the delivery office or could it just be a delay in the tracking updated?

What part of the country was coming from? It might be that it's missed a connection between Chelmsford Mail Centre and the Mail Centre that covers where it's come from because of the snow

Hello I have ordered a parcel on the 2nd February with guaranteed delivery by 1pm next day which was 3rd Wednesday however it hadn’t updated since. It says it’s at Sheffield mail centre but hasn’t updated. Tracking number is VE558795586GB please can you tell me where my parcel is and whether it is just delayed or if it’s been lost at Sheffield mail centre. It’s alimony been 10 days I think it might be the 10th day today that it hasn’t arrived. Please can you follow this up for me. Many thanks looks forward too hear from you

I think it would be classed as lost now.

an item shall be deemed as lost if Royal Mail has not delivered it at the place to which it is addressed by the end of the tenth working day (or the fifth working day for Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm® (not posted on account) after its due date of delivery, unless there is evidence to the contrary to demonstrate that the item has not been lost.
