Just a quick one about transit times!

Post by BenRobart »

Hi all,

I have an incredibly important delivery that was sent out today and is due to arrive tomorrow, RMSD1pm - The tracking last updated at 6:23pm, saying "Item Despatched to Jubilee MC" - But the tracking itself says "Your item is due to leave Home Counties North MC to go to Jubilee MC".

This leaves me with 2 questions:
1. Will it currently be on its way to Jubilee MC? One part of the tracking suggests it's left for the depot, but another part suggests it's due to leave for it.
2. How long does it usually take to go from Home Counties North MC to Jubilee MC?

Apologies for the inane questions - I'm aware of how paranoid I sound, but it's imperative that this item gets to me tomorrow, so I need to know if I should start looking for a replacement or not.

Many thanks!

Those 2 status are saying the same thing in a different way. It will be scanned again when it gets to the next MC.

The actual journey time according to google is around an hour. But of course, that won't take into account what time it actually gets loaded, what time the wagon leaves, or what time the wagon arrives and getting into a clear bay, or what time it is unloaded and how long it takes for the load to be broken down, scanned and routed to the next office.

All items are scanned and then placed into containers so technically when that happens it has been dispatched to the next office, and it is also due to leave the office in which it was scanned.
