Jubilee MC/Maidstone
Hi all. Is anyone able to give me an honest answer as to whether Jubilee and Maidstone have cleared all their backlogs? I am currently having my lost SD parcel investigated and have been informed by RM that both centres are clear, running smoothly and there is nothing further that can be done to locate said parcel.

I remember your original post, and you have every right to be obsessed and/or angry, you and a lot of other customers paid a lot of money for a special delivery. The service you have received has not been good enough!
There is no backlog at jubilee. The fact that your item has not received a scan somewhere by now is bad news I’m afraid and unlikely to show up.
I can offer you some reasons for what happened or what should ordinarily happen pre covid but it won’t make your item turn up unfortunately. The response of the company and it’s managers/executives in the pandemic to its staff has been frightening let alone their competence in handling mail...

now safe in the knowledge that they’re not lying when they say there is no backlog. Thank you again, genuinely appreciate your time.

I am sorry if my original post seemed insensitive; FWIW I don't work for RM or am in any other way affiliated, I have worked in various guises in online retail and other roles where I have experience of using RM , hence why I contribute to and occasionally gain info from this board.
I was interested in your claim as I am still waiting for a claim lodged on 28.12 for late Special Delivery. RM told me a couple of weeks ago a cheque had been posted, now they have backtracked and are saying I am due a cheque which is yet to be issued and that there is a delay in issuing cheques and I should wait until 19.02 to chase.
Bit disappointing given that not only did the original service fail but that the aftercare is also poor. I remember once someone saying on here a while ago that SD was the pride of RM and any failures were taken very seriously... I understand re: Covid etc but if this is a real issue why not just make it a guaranteed 2 day service so that people's expectations are better managed?

That is so frustrating and I’m sorry they are backtracking and still making you wait :(. I made my claim the normal way but fired an email to the Chairman’s Office early January so they have been investigating. Last week they came back saying they admitted to not being able to find it so would pay up in full but I’ve yet to accept. Mine’s complicated as there are two other parties involved as the item I lost was a return. I will be out of pocket twice :( Thanks to RM it’ll take me sometime to save and replace what they’ve lost. I really hope you receive your compensation soon.
