I ordered these parcels at the same time, both their country of departure left on the same day (Fri the 15th).
I received my parcel from Germany today. And it was always tracked everytime it moved from point A to point B, then to my doorstep.
Difference was my German parcel was International Priority...but my Turkish parcel's status has not changed at all since Fri the 15th.
My Turkish parcel is 1.6kg of 2 quite heavy books. Why is it taking so long/no update? Is it stuck in customs? I heard people say they don’t treat parcels from certain countries as priority unless from 12 specific countries, and I think Turkey is not one of them.
Can anyone give any insight??

Yes, it probably is.byaakun wrote:Is it stuck in customs?
I have never heard such a thing. However, parcels from EU countries should be subject to fewer checks because, despite Brexit, none of the rules have actually changed. Fewer checks is not the same as priority.byaakun wrote:I heard people say they don’t treat parcels from certain countries as priority unless from 12 specific countries, and I think Turkey is not one of them.
Also, customs select items at random for extra checks. So even if you sent two identical parcels at the same time from the same country, there is no guarantee that they would clear customs at the same time, or even in the same week. Covid-19 is exaggerating these differences.
