Tracking not updated for one month

Post by jerry_kacmar »

I have sent two international track & sign letters to Europe on 15th April.

They still have not arrived and the tracking for both of them says:
Item Despatched to Heathrow Worldwide DC
South Midlands MC"

It looks like the items has not even reached Langley (which seems to be the bottleneck, based on what I read on this forum).
There was an third item (to another European country) that I send at the same time and that one has already arrived, which makes these even weirder.
Are these item lost? Is there any way I can find out where those items are?

Both of the items were really important so I really need to know whether they got lost so I can 1) resend one of the items, 2) declared the item lost with the corresponding bureau where the item was needed

Thank you very much for any help.

Tracking numbers:
- RN663285623GB
- RN663285637GB

As we are not an official forum we cannot state specifically what you should do, for that you would need to speak to Royal Mail directly.

However, COVID has had a severe impact and in some cases, items are eventually being delivered sometimes as much 4 to 6 weeks later than they should. I think it is probably held up in customs who seem especially hard hit, but as I said better to go back to Royal Mail for official confirmation.

Thanks for the reply.

The problem is that I don't really know how to really get in touch with Royal Mail.
I tried to call the contact number but when I navigate through to anything related to tracking, the only thing I can do is to enter tracking number and the machine tells me the same thing as it is on the webpage.

I know this is not the official forum, I was just wondering if any of you would have insights why the tracking would not even show that the letters arrived to Langley/Customs, i.e.:
- whether it's actually there but for some reason it was not scanned and the tracking updated
(although given those are just plain letters I would not expect any hold up on Customs)
or
- whether it's possible that it got lost from the distribution center on the way to Langley

Thanks

So the packages finally showed up in the sorting office in the delivery country.
It took six weeks, but at least it didn't get lost.
Thanks for taking time to reply.
