I am waiting for an item to receive from the UK to the Netherlands which has tracking on it.
It has been sent on may 1st and the status was updated several times. However, after may 4th I did not get any updates.
The latest update on may 4th said the following:
Item has left the overseas International Processing Centre
Netherlands
It has been so for over a week now and no changes at all.
I tried and look up the number with PostNL, to whom it should be handed over. But it was not known.
I also had contact with them and they said they did not receive anything from Royal Mail and that the sender should contact them.
I tried contacting Royal Mail myself for two times, but the customer service has delays due to corona and I have not yet received an anwser. The sender I trying to get trough to them now, but has not been able to as of yet.
Is it normal for a package to be stuck for so long and not give any updates?

20 Posties have died from the virus by all accounts.
Royal Mail is running at around 1/4 to a 1/3 of people being absent.
Customs, where is most likely held up, are also suffering from the same problems and delays.
