Fewer staff and fewer flights due to Covid-19 mean that everything is backed up. See numerous other posts on here on the same subject. Clearly yours is particularly unlucky as it got part of the way before getting stuck, but the problem is identical to everyone else’s.

Im in the same boat as mate, mine is stuck there since the 27th of march on its way to its way to ireland.seems to be loads in storage at for last month or so.
Theres nothing customers can do except wait.from what i make out royalmail staff are doing their best in a very bad situation.cant ask for anymore.hopefuly the staff can get the backlog sorted and it can start getting through bit by bit.thet could be down to the barebones staff wise in langley.I wonder
Would langley be 1 of the biggest sorting centers in the uk??

Don’t know about size, but it is the main export / import site, due to being just outside Heathrow airport.

Just a lack of flights i suppose.wonder do the likes of amazon get 1st prefrence when stuff does leave the uk.my missus has made a few orders the last few weeks, and they have arrived on time.i guess if they do at the end of the day if youre a company/business its about making money or maybe they organise their own transport.big company like that probably do.

They've got their own planes, maybe they're re-jigging the workload for their own planes and perhaps hiring extra cargo planes as neededWhitejas75 wrote:Just a lack of flights i suppose.wonder do the likes of amazon get 1st prefrence when stuff does leave the uk.my missus has made a few orders the last few weeks, and they have arrived on time.i guess if they do at the end of the day if youre a company/business its about making money or maybe they organise their own transport.big company like that probably do.

I was thinking so.thanks for answering that,i often wondered.you think with the amount of build up in mail, they could help the likes of royal mail out a little bit+try bring some mail with them for the countrys they are flying over their orders too.(every bit helps)or that just woundnt or couldnt happen?just in crisis times like these.

I think their planes are normally used just within the USA but from the looks of them they seem suitable for transatlantic flights as wellWhitejas75 wrote:I was thinking so.thanks for answering that,i often wondered.you think with the amount of build up in mail, they could help the likes of royal mail out a little bit+try bring some mail with them for the countrys they are flying over their orders too.(every bit helps)or that just woundnt or couldnt happen?just in crisis times like these.

Amazon have a lot of warehouses, dozens in the UK alone, and sometimes they will be fulfilling orders from the nearest warehouse. This might mean that fulfilment takes place in the recipient's country, not the country of the website they ordered from.SpacePhoenix wrote:They've got their own planes, maybe they're re-jigging the workload for their own planes and perhaps hiring extra cargo planes as neededWhitejas75 wrote:Just a lack of flights i suppose.wonder do the likes of amazon get 1st prefrence when stuff does leave the uk.my missus has made a few orders the last few weeks, and they have arrived on time.i guess if they do at the end of the day if youre a company/business its about making money or maybe they organise their own transport.big company like that probably do.
They are getting stuck with supply problems. I ordered something 10 days ago and I am still waiting for it to come back into stock, let alone despatched. So clearly they are feeling the strain to some extent.
