Urgent Help Please
Trying everything in the vain hope that someone out there can help within the postal service. The one and only thing my autistic daughter asked for for Christmas was a doll of her teacher. A tall ask and I spent over 3 weeks trying to track someone who could fulfil her request. That was also after trying to pass Barbie dolls off as her teacher. I eventually managed to get someone who put a lot of time and effort to get a doll like her teacher. I showed her the picture and she was over the moon so had one happy and very excited little girl leading up to Christmas. Never really thought anything was untoward as I had ordered a lot of stuff online and was taking around 2 weeks in some cases to arrive. Checked yesterday with the lovely lady who was making the doll who advised that it had been posted on 7th December from Portugal and that the other dolls she had created had all been received by the recipients. On checking I see that it has been stuck at Langley since 11th December. Please if there is anyone out there who has some influence in Langley to try and get this doll delivered before Christmas I would be so grateful. I have told her that Santa put her doll on another pile of presents by mistake and now he cannot find it. He would try and find it before Christmas but if not he would get it to her in the New Year and make a special delivery just for her. Poor wee toot was inconsolable. Desperate mummy!! Langley HWDC = customs. They are not part of Royal Mail, they are a law enforcement agency. You can't influence them.
We understand that some batches of mail get selected at random for extra checking, it is probably in one of those and will turn up eventually.
