HI I sent a letter registered to St Lucia and it has been sent from Gatwick to LANGLEY HWDC but all the flights to st lucia go from Gatwck
I just find this route odd and a waste of time considering daily flights go to St Lucia from Gatwick and Not 1 direct flight from heathrow - route below from website

That the item went to Gatwick Mail Centre and that there is also a Gatwick Airport does not mean anything. You posted it in a part of the country covered by Gatwick Mail Centre therefore it went to Gatwick Mail Centre. If you'd posted it in Portsmouth then rather than Gatwick it'd say Southampton Mail Centre then HWDC.
Langley HWDC (Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre) deal with international mail and is the correct departure point for all mail leaving the country, regardless of the passenger flight schedules.
