Special Delivery issue- please help- item not moving from mail centre

I posted an item by special delivery that was earlier "on its way" but now says "about to leave mailing centre", yet says despatched as well?
It has been 13 hours since it was supposedly despatched but there is no tracking information available.
This is a work permit application with my passport and other documents, so I am really stressed.
Is it normal for there not to be any tracking information overnight on special delivery? Is it because it's Saturday?
Usually, I find that there is much more tracking information available for special delivery.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If the item gets lost, I'll be in serious trouble as it's got documents like passports, current work permit, etc.

The item is still stuck on the same "due to leave the mail centre" message. I wish I could do something to find out what happened to it.

No, you would have to ring RM customer services direct for that, but they are closed at the moment.

However I note on tracking that since the above post it has had another scan so everything seems to be progressing correctly.

I am awaiting a special delivery also which is still showing as “we’ve got it” and hasn’t changed for 22hours now. I understand that the sender was late sending it yesterday so that may be the reason I didn’t receive it today, but surely it should be on the way by now if it was posted last night at 5.17pm. My tracking number is NE958970414GB. Any advise would be welcome as I’m worried that It won’t come tomorrow either seeing as it’s still showing as being sat at the post office where it was posted still. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that the final collection from the post office yesterday was at 4pm or 5pm.

Your item posted at 5:17pm.

Meaning your Special Delivery will be collected today and processed accordingly.

Expect to see updated tonight and tomorrow morning.
