When sending letters from the UK to international destinations, which return address COUNTRY FORMAT should I include on my letters and on my envelopes?

Do the postal services in some countries prefer a different country format for sending mail to the UK compared to postal services in other countries?
I have searched the Internet in pursuit of an answer to my question, and I am still none the wiser. Indeed, I have found contradictory information.

Any are ok, though the second one is probably the most prefered.
