Hello,
I purchased a collectible item from ebay for £25 and paid for it to be delivered by Signed For post.
The Seller arranged this and gave me a Tracking Number.
It has now been around 10 days since the item should have arrived but the Seller states the item has been delivered.
I haven't got it yet.
Contacted the Seller and they said ''check the Tracking Number''.
I did and the signature isn't mine...instead it says ''DW Postie''. Now I am not making allegations but think that perhaps the postman has signed for it on my behalf but where the hell is it?
What are my legal rights as the Seller claims as far as he is concerned the item has been delivered and signed for.....however I state it hasn't been signed for by me, which is what I paid for.
Any suggestions please.

Call the Delivery Office or Customer services and get an investigation started. The quicker you do it the better chance you have of the postie remembering what he did with it if anything.
It would be against procedure for a postie to sign it on your behalf, and it would extremely daft if he signed it "DW Postie" so it definitely needs investigating.
If the postie has gone against procedure then you stand a better chance of getting compensation from Royal Mail.
