Lost Receipt

Post by Spinewire »

I posted an item on the 30th of Aug and have since then thrown away the receipt, is there anyway of re printing this or proving that I sent it. I find it hard to believe that is no way to access the information regarding a sale without the tracking number on the paper receipt. I can tell you where and when it was sent and the address of the recipient, the postage was paid for and printed out via paypal. They have a tracking number on their receipt but it's not a royal mail tracking number and despite it saying track your parcel above it apparently it's for customer use :/.

Needless to say the customer is claiming the package has not arrived and is requesting a refund, i have a sneaking suspicion that because i am not holding the receipt that when i try to claim it as a lost package they will turn round and tell me to get lost because i have no poof i sent it. The package was insured for £185.

Is there anything i can do, paypal told me to take it up with the royal mail and I spoke to someone on the phone line and they just said sorry your tracking number doesn't work so can't help you.

I am afraid I have to ask the obvious question. You did send it by Royal Mail, didn't you?

As far as I know, we don't have a service that offers £185 insurance. Tracked is £100, and Special Delivery is £250. Both can be tracked on Royal Mail.

Parcel force Express services offer insurance cover of between £100 and £200 http://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-adv ... mpensation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and again they can be tracked by on Royal Mail websites.

Perhaps if you put the tracking number up we MIGHT be able to identify the Company, or the service if its Royal Mail.

Is this eBay/paypals global shipping program?
