Afternoon,
I've searched the forum and can only find topic relating to this subject which is the opposite to what royal mail have said so would like to ask.
I buy my postage labels through Ebay which I print off and attach to the parcels
The parcels are always 2nd class signed for.
When i've dropped them off at the post office they use the speed bulk system and scan the parcels, Im then provided with a receipt which says 'bulk barcode details' followed by a list of 10 or so barcodes.
I rang royal mail and they stated this is enough evidence for proof of postage and if a claim was submitted this receipt would be accepted. My worry is there is no address to go with the receipt/barcodes and I don't have a manifest, although I do have copies of all the online labels printed which show the address and the barcode.
Is this correct or am I leaving myself open to not being able to submit a claim.
Many Thanks

I think you are correct to be concerned. What Royal Mail told you is exactly the opposite of what Post Offices were told to do, at least when I worked for the PO. That said, if you have that in writing from RM then it is a bit difficult for them to argue.
