You send a letter, it is delivered less than 24 hours later more than 400 miles away. Excellent!
Three days later the person says "Oh yes, I saw that let, me open it!"
People worked through the night to get that to you!
Does my head in - but thanks to all of you who day in and day out do their bit.

What annoys me most
What really annoys me is that the Post Office tracking system is a complete farce, entering a tracking number you have been given by the sender is never recognised, what's the point of tracking numbers when it does not work? Customers pay for this non-existent service so why pay for it?

What annoys me most
99% of all the tracking numbers I have used and customers posted on here have worked on the Royal Mail site or the many others that are available. Never used the Post Office one so I can't speak for that.

The Post Office don't have their own tracking system. It will be Royal Mail's.
Barcodes that don't work are like hen's teeth. But outages of the tracking system do happen, senders give you the tracking number before they actually post it* or it turns out that sender used a competitor's service. Occasionally senders drop items with barcodes into postboxes, which means that there isn't any tracking, either through stupidity or for fraud reasons. Care to post some examples on here so we can have a look?
