I Sent a letter/parcel on thursday by first class post (domestic) . I know there are no collections or deliveries on Good friday, but will my parcel be sorted and transported towards the destination during friday for delivery on saturday ?

First class is a non-guaranteed service, so there is no set time for it to arrive. But most First Class mail posted before the last collection on Maundy Thursday will arrive on Easter Saturday (certain business addresses excepted).
