My parcel stuck at Heathrow
Hi, I have the same trouble as many of you. I've purchased records from USA.
Parcel has been posted on January 31, 2017.
Last event is from London Heathrow on February 6, 2017
Today we are on March 4, and no news of my parcel.
Tracking Number: LZ473629124US
First-Class Package International Service
LOCATION
February 6, 2017 , 8:22 am
Departed
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
Your item departed a transfer airport in HEATHROW, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM on February 6, 2017 at 8:22 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
I made a request about lost parcel to USPS but no news too.
I am not positive about the delivery of the parcel and think, it has been stolen.
Perhaps it left the UK and continued his way to FRANCE and stolen here. I really don't know
If someone has an idea, thanks by advance.
Hervé

Just to be clear, this parcel was from the USA to France? If so, it has probably come to the UK in error. It will usually take a while for UK customs to clear it and Royal Mail to forward it. The tracking probably won't work after forwarding to France as it will probably be travelling with the 'wrong' carrier.hpichenot wrote:Perhaps it left the UK and continued his way to FRANCE and stolen here.
Either way, if you do not receive the item by Wednesday you are probably entitled to a refund from USPS.

Yes, USA to France. Don't really know what way, packages usually use but I think they reach France without transiting by England.
Ok, I'll wait a few days and start a refund from USPS or Paypal if it's possible too.
Thanks Snaggletooth for your informations and advice.

My parcel stuck at Heathrow
Looks like this is a common problem. I had a parcel sent from Portugal that arrived at Langley on the 23rd March and it seems to just be sitting there with no movement at all. I know that is only one week, but I have never had any delay like this before. The frustrating thing is that there simply does not seem to be any way of making contact with anyone. Even though there are telephone numbers, when you eventually work your way through the menu options, you are told that nothing can be done for parcels coming from other countries. I have absolutely no idea how long done one is meant to hang around and what to do if the parcel does not arrive. Very unsatisfactory service.

Yes I'd write to Customs as they are the ones delaying it not Royal Mail. RM can't deliver it till HM Customs release it, and when they do it will be 3 days maximum in most cases.

My parcel stuck at Heathrow
My parcel is now back on March 30th in CHARLOTTE, NC, where all this story began on Januray 31. Don't know what to do now. I'm going to open a litigation with paypal because I am not sure that the parcel will try to join PARIS, France in the next days. Perhaps it will to NEW ZEALAND via BEIJING.

My letter has been at Heathrow Customs for 6 weeks
Hi,
Hoping someone can help. My mail (small package 50g) arrived at Heathrow Worldwide DC on 16th Jan. When checking the status using the tracking ref, the update says only "The system is currently unable to confirm the status of your item with reference RO169929901RU. Please try again later." The package is coming from Russia and contains travel papers.
Given it has been at Heathrow for over 6 weeks, I am getting a little concerned - can anyone recommend next steps?
Cheers.

Just tried that tracking number on Royal Mail and its reporting "System Problem", that normally happens when the number hasn't been registered on Royal Mails system.
Also on Track17 the last scan is partially in Russian so it looks like it never made it to Royal Mail. My advice would be to chase it from the Russian end, RM won't be able to assist in this particular case but if you want to give them a try at the same time tweet them @royalmail
