Hi,
I posted really important documents (including passport) on Sat 11/02/17 special delivery guaranteed 1pm but it still hasn't arrived at the destination. Tracking shows the following:

12/02/17 13:04 ON ITS WAY TODELIVERY OFFICE WARRINGTON MAIL CENTRE
12/02/17 12:52 ARRIVED ATWARRINGTON MAIL CENTRE WARRINGTON MAIL CENTRE
11/02/17 14:45 ON ITS WAY TOWARRINGTON MAIL CENTRE SHEFFIELD MAIL CENTRE
11/02/17 13:17 ITEM COLLECTED SHEFFIELD MAIL CENTRE
11/02/17 10:18 SENT AT POST OFFICE 26-28 Sandygate S10 5NH
What I can't understand is why it went back to Warrington?? Destination address is in Liverpool. What is the best course of action now? Any advice much appreciated!

Looking back at other customers queries http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... on#p680290" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, this appears to be normal for addresses that get a lot of recorded and Special deliveries. What happens is that because they get so many the Mail centre delivers them in bulk after the Delivery Office has prepped them (seems a strange method to me).
Thankfully the vast majority of Special Delivery Items are delivered on time, but it appears that with both HRMC and the various Passport offices, their systems take a few days to catch up.
