Hi All,

I'm new here and tried to find the answers to question before bothering you all but nothing conclusive so would appreciate some of your advice.

I bought a watch from Germany last week, the seller shipped it immediately via Deutschepost, it came into the UK on the 5th to Heathrow but hasn't moved since. Every other item I've bought in the past from Germany clears customs the same day / night and seems to gets delivered the next day.

Are items from within the EU sometimes delayed in customs etc? Any help / advice would be great

This is the tracking number incase it helps: RR204248907DE

Thanks

Justin

Yes, items from other EU countries are checked as each country has it's own list of prohibited items. For instance, Germany prohibit lithium batteries from travel in the opposite direction to. Which brings us to...

What powers the watch? Wind-up and kinetic watches should not be a problem, but battery powered watches can be an issue.

There are a lot of rules about shipping batteries in the international mail. They have to be new, they have to be packaged in a very specific way etc. It might cause a problem. On the plus side, if there was a major problem with it then it probably would have been destroyed at the German end.
