Special delivery has not arrived

Post by Sjbayly »

Hi, I posted a parcel on Monday 16th Jan at 9.52am special delivery by 1pm next day. The item has not arrived and it's now Wednesday. I have asked the receiver if they have had a missed parcel card or anything and they haven't. When I track the item number it says to come back later as there isn't any delivery details yet. All it shows is the time I sent it. What should I do

Further down its says:

16/01/17 09:52 SENT AT POST OFFICE 294 Ropery Road DN21 2PD

It should it at least have had a scan from the Mail Centre so I would double check with the Post Office.

Other than that I hope that it wasn't something that is Prohibited or has restrictions on how you can send it. Lithium batteries cause a lot of problems.

No restrictions and no batteries. It was a tattoo machine, we checked it was ok before sending. It has a motor but not batteries. I'll check with the post office where I sent it, however it's a Post office in a sweet shop not a main branch - shouldn't matter should it?

It shouldn't but they are not as well trained as the Crown Office staff so mistakes are more common.
