Help!

Post by Jenko81 »

Hey guys,

Happy New year and I hope all are well.

I have a strange one! I use RM regularly and have had no issues. But on Thursday I posted a package SD guaranteed to arrive Friday 13th Jan. Get to Friday nothing I checked tracking and it's telling me it's on route to Heathrow. The address is Watford so why does it state Heathrow?!?

I've called complains (who are lovely, who have offered a refund but I don't want this I want my package delivered)

Tracking: Af447442421gb please help!

Its either been misrouted and will hopefully show up soon, or, there is a question over the contents. Even UK internal Post has some restrictions and prohibitions because we fly so much of the post. Usually, although not exclusively it will be something to do with Lithium batteries.

Thanks for the reply, It's old recycled phones, but the batteries are attached! They put a warning sticker on it at the post office (which I questioned!) what's the next step now?!?

There are several things which could be wrong with that.

Yes, the batteries should be in the phones, but there are several other packaging rules that apply (must be in a box, must have a return address, no spare batteries etc). The polylope supplied by, say, Mazuma is not enough by itself.

It never really comes up but IIRC there is a maximum of two phones with Lithium batteries per package rule.

I don't have enough information to state it categorically in this case but it's unlikely that this package should have had a hazard label attached.
