Problem with package sent from UK address to UK address.
Tracking reports...
"We received item JJ751814618GB at Milngavie DO on the 2016-11-08. The item is now ready for delivery."
.... Milngavie DO not my local office.
SMS received 08/11/16 confirming delivery same day, but package never delivered.
Full tracking latest update shows..
"08-NOV-2016 7:15 Mis-Sort Scan at Delivery Office - Redirected Milngavie DO"
.... No further tracking info and no delivery to date.
Contacted RM by chat system, they say they cannot help and I should contact sender.
Contacted sender and they say "The item is now ready for delivery." and will take no further action.
Can anyone advise on how I could resolve this problem.
Thank you

Help, Missing package
Royal Mail can't deal with you unfortunately as you aren't their customer under the law.
However, they can deal with the sender, all they have to do is call or message them like you did.
If they are unwilling to deal with the problem then they are failing to fulfil their obligations under their Consumer Rights Act http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/ ... egulations" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
1. Hang on and wait hoping it appears soon.
2. Cancel the order and demand a refund.

This in effect leaves you open to 2 choices.Delivery of goods
The Consumer Rights Act, which came into force on 1 October 2015, says the retailer is responsible for the condition of the goods until the goods are received by you, or by someone else you have nominated to receive them on your behalf such as a neighbour.
This means that the retailer is liable for the services provided by the couriers it employs - the delivery firm is not liable.
There is a default delivery period of 30 days during which the retailer needs to deliver the goods to you unless a longer period has been agreed.
If your delivery is later than agreed and it was essential that it was delivered on time, then you have the right to cancel the purchase and get a full refund.
If the delivery isn’t time essential but another reasonable delivery time can’t be agreed, you’re also within your right to cancel the order for a full refund.
1. Hang on and wait hoping it appears soon.
2. Cancel the order and demand a refund.
