My tracking number is not recognised?

Post by mojo1990 »

Hi everyone :)

So I sent a small parcel from my local post office to Canada, marked returns, via international and signed service. It cost me £14.55. For the first two days or so the tracking was working fine. I think the parcel had reached the Airport and was actually inbound to Canada when the tracking was last working.

https://m.royalmail.com/h5/track_item?t ... ue#results" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Tracking number no longer seems to be recognised which is really odd as this has never happened to me before. I've actually returned several clothing items back to Canada without the slightest hiccup.

My tracking number is: RN115061825GB
I had sent the parcel on: 21/10/16

Thank you,
Mustafa

Does the item have the return address (your address) on the front of the parcel as well as the address that it's going to? If it doesn't then there's a chance that Canadian Customs will refuse it entry into Canada

My tracking number is not recognised? Parcel is also late

Post by Helpmeman »

Hi I am also experiencing this problem. I have been given a
tracking number and it is not recognised
. The item was dispatched on 8/11/16 and was meant to arrive on 11/12. This is worrying me as I cannot see where my parcel is. Any help will be appreciated.

Everything worked out accordingly, they were just having technical maintenance issues, or something. My parcel arrived in due time. Give it a day or two from the expected delivery date. Alternatively you can also fill in the online form on the Royal mail website for parcel inquiry. I've forgotten exactly how I located that exactly, but I'm sure someone experienced here can direct you.

If you mean not recognised at the outbound (UK) end then this is a common fault with the tracking system.

its also possible it hasn't entered Royal Mail system yet - especially if it was posted on Saturday morning. Without details such as date sent and destination country there is not much insight we can give though.

Hi

I also have the same problem.
So I sent a small parcel from my local post office to France with international tracked and signed service (Track no RN341246196GB) on 14/March/2017. For the first four days or so the tracking was working fine. I think the parcel had reached to France (ROISSY HUB BSCC PIC) on 16/March/2017. However when I tried to track my parcel today , 19/March/2017 via royal mail track page, the Tracking number no longer seems to be recognised. It shows that "Status: Sorry - we don't recognise that reference number." which is really odd as this has never happened to me before.

Can you please check for this and give me some suggestions?

Thank you.

I'm also having the same problem...I posted a small parcel from my local post office to Morocco on the 4th March 2017. The tracking number worked at first, but today it is not recognised. Instantly I was worried, thinking there is a problem with my parcel, however as annoying as it is, I must admit I feel at ease knowing that I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm hoping it's just a technical issue with the website and will be resolved soon!

My tracking number is not recognised?

Post by mjb10 »

Hi, A package was sent to me from the UK to Ireland and I received a valid reference number which was printed on the top of the receipt. For the past 4 days I have tried to track the package using this number but despite regular attempts to use the number to track the package, the response is still the same - "sorry we don't recognise the number". If this is the nature of the service, the extra cost of registering mail is definitely questionable. A very frustrating experience! Anyone have a similar experience recently and if so is there any number/contact point to call at Royal Mail when this happens? Response appreciated as the contents of the package are required urgently.

Regards, MJB10

If the tracking number isn't in this format

L = Letter 0 = Number

LL000000000GB

Then it isn't a tracking number.

If you want you can post the tracking number here it may help, it won;t give us your address or the final destination address but if correct it will show where its been scanned.
