Help! Stolen Mail

Post by Londoner2016 »

Hi, in need of advice.

I live in a block of flats with a communal post room. I have been the victim of identity theft and have now discovered that post is being stolen, after delivery, out of my mail box.

I am going to set up a redirect, but this can take 5 working days, and in the meantime I have a new driving licence being delivered. I do not want the fraudsters to get hold of this.

What would happen if I was to tape the mail box closed with a sign advising the postie that the security of the box is compromised and I do not want mail delivering?

Any advice is really appreciated.

It will get sent back to sender.

Your best bet is to go to the Delivery Office and arrange a Call and Collect, though this does mean you'll have to make regular trips to the office to collect it.

Thank you for the advice. I will try the depot in the morning and see what they say. Thanks again!
