Delivery gets stuck?

Post by DavidYoung »

Hi,

I've been sending out parcels to my friends and the parcel go through the DUNFERMLINE PDO.
The problem is that my last 6 parcel stay there and the time is always exact the same 05:50.

Did somebody had these issues also with the DUNFERMLINE PDO and what can I do about this?
6 packages in 1-2 weeks is a lot to be missing..

If they have been tracked all the way to the PDO then they are probably waiting to be collected.

... and 05:50 sounds like the time that the posties(s) clock on and start work, beginning with scanning their items in.

05:50 is really early for a Delivery Office - it could be a mail centre.

Could the OP please post either the tracking number or copy and paste the tracking info - it will help decipher it.

Hi,

Yes my bad here is the tracking number: AF260324830GB
I usually ship them out with next day delivery before 1pm and they often get delivered around 8-9am.

05/04/16 05:50 ON DELIVERY DUNFERMLINE PDO

Yep thats a scan by the "locker" at Dunfermline - the item should have been delivered by either 9am or 1pm on the same day.

Put a claim in for each one, you will get the postage back even it has been delivered. Also the manager would have been informed that this particular one failed - so a complaint should help alert the system if there is an endemic problem.

I've been sending 5-6 parcels over the last 1-2 weeks and they all have the same issue. How can that happen?

It shouldn't. I can't think of any proper scenario where it would make sense. Are they getting delivered, either way claim and complain - it will get investigated either way.

If it had been awaiting collection there would be another scan.

If it has been delivered successfully there should be a delivery scan.

If delivery had been attempted but did not happen for any reason there should be a minimum of 2 different scans.

ok was going to suggest if a residential address the recipient may be on holiday and has arranged a keepsafe and that would mean that only one scan missing, and is a common one to be missed(not actually that common just the most logical one to be missed) if the person in the delivery office is fairly new to working in the area that deals with special deliveries

if its a fairly large business that could be an issue also as the scanning of items going to business addresses is sometimes not shown correctly on track and trace if there are lots of them being delivered by a bulk delivery
